ABOUT
Carl L. Route, Jr. is the Executive Director, Community Transformer and Wisdom Council member at Reaching Our Brothers Everywhere (ROBE) since 2019. Scholarship Recipient and Graduate from Morehouse School of Medicine’s (MSM) Satcher Leadership Institute’s Community Health Leadership Program (CHLP) 2020. Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC) w The Academy of Lactation Policy and Practice (ALPP) in 2022. Completed MSM/ Health Connect One Perinatal Patient Navigator (PPN)/Community Health Worker (CHW)/Holistic Birth Doula (HBD) Training Program in 2024, Community Activist, Responsible Fatherhood Advocate/Ally/Author (1991 – present).

Collaborative Member of Fathers Matter ATL since 2021 & the 2024 Recipient of its Fatherhood Leadership Award.

A Certified Responsible Fatherhood & Family Life Coach with the National Partnership for Community Leadership (2010 – present).

Featured on Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN) with host Lisa Ling, on “Our America” segment titled “Incarceration Generation” (2011).

Lead Facilitator of an Access and Visitation pilot program for fathers on Child Support in Georgia’s largest transition center, a potential model for programs to be facilitated at all 13 of the state’s transitional centers (2009 – 2011).
